Start with the mobile site, not the app store
Open the operator's website in Chrome or Safari and log in there first. If the site loads fast and the bet slip works, you have already solved the problem an app was going to solve.
Cloudbet.com says this outright on its own support page: no mobile app, the site is built for phone browsers instead. Wild.io, BitStarz, Betify, Gamdom, Vave and Thrill run the same way, browser only, added to your home screen as a shortcut.
Why a mobile site beats an app on 2G and 3G
An app has to download in full before you place a single bet. On 2G that download can take longer than the match you wanted to bet on. A site loads the page you need and nothing else.
Somalia's 2G coverage reaches about 90 percent of the population, its 4G about 50 percent, its 5G about 10 percent, per 2023 ITU data reported by Ecofin Agency. Most sessions on this list happen on 2G or 3G, not on a fast connection, so install size and page weight both matter.
A site also updates itself. An app update is another download, on the same slow connection, usually timed for right before a big kick off.

Important. None of the app brands above list on Google Play. Gambling apps are barred from the Play Store in most markets, so every APK comes straight from the operator's own site. That is normal for this industry, not a warning sign on its own.
What we could not verify
Betplay's app situation is genuinely unclear. A Google Play listing under a similar name traces to an unrelated developer, and a regulated Colombian product uses the Betplay name too. Do not install a Betplay APK on the strength of a search result. Confirm the domain matches the Betplay row on our full brand list first.
APK sizes for 1xbet, Melbet, Betwinner, Linebet.com, 22bet, Megapari, BC.Game and Mostbet vary by tens of megabytes across the sources we checked, because mirror sites host different versions and regional builds. Treat any single number you see elsewhere as approximate, not exact.
Data cost per session
A betting session, checking odds, placing a bet and refreshing a live score, uses roughly 5MB to 15MB an hour on a mobile site. At Somalia's typical data price of around $0.50 a gigabyte, that is a fraction of a cent per session.
Downloading a 70MB app costs more in data than weeks of ordinary sessions on a mobile site. On EVC Plus, ZAAD, SAHAL or eDahab data bundles, that download can be the most expensive single action you take on the platform all month.
Bookmark the mobile site instead of installing an app if your bundle is small or your signal drops to 2G often. You lose nothing that matters for placing a bet.
Before you install any APK
- Get the file from the operator's own domain, the one listed on our brand list, never from a search result or a forwarded link
- Check the file size against what the operator's own site states, not a number from a review site
- Decline any install that asks for permissions unrelated to betting, such as reading your contacts or messages
- Turn off unknown sources again after installing, rather than leaving it open
- If the site works fine in your browser, skip the install altogether
Important. An operator site is the only safe source for its own APK. A site offering the same file with a different name or a different domain is not the operator, whatever the page claims. Check the KYC and account checks you will face on that domain before you commit a deposit to it.
